I assume you had an x-ray already which is why they know it’s horizontal. I had mine done at my dentist and after the x-ray, the next appointment is the surgery for the removal. Is there a number you can call them to ask?

Normally it will be for assessment. You aren’t going to be given sedation for removal without a chat first about options/treatment planning etc.Equally when it comes to it, if you want sedation you will need someone with you to take you home afterwards. @Shushpuppy I had an impacted wisdom tooth removed at a dental hospital 12 months ago. The first appointment was an assessment and I got sent for further xrays. I had the tooth out under twilight sedation at the 2nd appointment. I had to take someone with me on the day who could wait and take me home. They also said I had to have someone to look after me for 24 hours after the sedation. Things may have changed under COVID though. Hope it all goes well. I don’t remember a thing about the procedure
